Hello, I'm Valerie! I’m an Austin mom of two - former school counselor and teacher, and longtime lover of photography. I’ve spent years working with kids in schools, and now, as a mom, I get to spend my days watching two little personalities unfold right in front of me.

Photography has been a creative part of my life for the past 15 years, and I’ve always been drawn to photographs that feel full of life. The ones that make you laugh because you can practically hear their laughter through the photo. The ones that melt you as they kiss their favorite lovey on the nose. The ones that capture so much of what you love about them in a single frame.

That’s what led me to create Personality Portrait sessions.

I love welcoming kids into a comfortable, fun space where they can relax, be themselves, and let their personalities take the lead. I’m looking for all those little expressions, quirks, and moments that make them wonderfully unique—and capture the particular version of them that exists right now.

No pressure. No perfect poses. No need to perform.
